Spherical roller bearings

Spherical roller bearings are bearings for the heaviest loads and consist of two rows of symmetrical barrel rollers with a common hollow spherical raceway in the outer ring and two raceways on the inner ring that are inclined to the bearing axis. Due to this design, the spherical roller bearings are angularly movable and therefore insensitive to misalignment or deflection of the shaft. They have an exceptionally high radial load capacity and can also absorb relatively high axial loads in both directions.

  • Versions of spherical roller bearings

    Our range of HFH spherical roller bearings includes spherical roller bearings in open basic design, sealed spherical roller bearings and spherical roller bearings for vibrating machines. HFH spherical roller bearings are manufactured with brass and sheet steel cages and various rib guides as standard. To ensure optimum lubrication, the spherical roller bearings have a circumferential lubrication groove with lubrication holes. The spherical roller bearings manufactured with cylindrical and tapered bores can be used up to an operating temperature of 200°C. The main dimensions of the spherical roller bearings correspond to the specifications in DIN 635-2 and DIN 616 / ISO 15:1998.
