Deep groove ball bearing for high temperature environment

High-temperature applications pose a particular challenge for rolling bearings. Bearings that are used at high ambient temperatures are at risk of premature failure and thus increase the cost of maintenance. The most common problems at high temperatures are:

• low viscosity of the oil or grease
• in combination with too low speeds, there is a risk of direct contact between two metal parts
• increased wear and noise
• premature ageing of grease lubrication
• risk of fire or carbonization due to excessive regreasing

We offer bearings for high-temperature applications specifically for these applications. High-temperature deep groove ball bearings are designed for these demanding operating conditions. These bearings are lubricated using graphite, which remains lubricating at high temperatures and low speeds. Unlike oil or grease lubrication, graphite does not age and retains its lubricating properties even at temperatures of up to 350 °C.

  • Running-in period may be required
  • Limit speed with rotating inner ring can be determined using the formula:
