Axial deep groove ball bearing
Axial deep groove ball bearings are manufactured as single-direction and double-direction acting bearings. Single-direction axial deep groove ball bearings consist of a shaft washer, a housing washer and a set of balls held by a cage. The bearings are not self-retaining, the bearing parts can be installed separately and are therefore easy. Single-direction axial deep groove ball bearings are suitable for absorbing axial loads in one direction and can support the shaft to one side, but must not be subjected to radial loads.
Double direction axial deep groove ball bearings consist of a shaft washer, two housing washers and two sets of balls held by cages. They are also not self-retaining and can be installed separately. They can absorb axial loads in both directions and thus act as fixed bearings to guide the shaft on both sides. However, radial loading is not permitted. Axial deep groove ball bearings are manufactured with standard tolerances as standard. They can be made with cages made of sheet steel as well as solid cages made of brass. The main dimensions of the bearings correspond to the information in DIN 616 / ISO 104:2002.
